Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-29
Furmly is a pet health companion app. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who else receives it, and how you get it deleted.
The data controller is Gaepyeonhan Sesang. For any question or request about your data, write to info@expathub-all.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the features need. Concretely:
- Account: your email address and Google account identifier, received from Google Sign-In when you sign in. We never see or store your Google password.
- Pet profile: name, species, breed, sex, date of birth, weight, neutered status, country, and a profile photo if you add one.
- Health records: the photos you take for stool and daily-log analysis, stored together with the date, the analysis result, and any notes or measurements attached to the record.
- Walk data: the GPS route recorded while a walk is running, plus distance, duration, and the weather conditions at that time. Route recording only happens while a walk is active and only after you grant location permission.
- Care schedule: vaccination and care due dates, and whether each has been completed.
- App settings: your chosen language and country, and your subscription status.
- AI usage counters: which analysis was run, on which model, and the token counts — used to enforce plan limits and to monitor our own costs. These counters contain no photo or health content.
What stays on your phone
Your own body weight, height and sex — used to estimate the calories and steps from a walk — are stored on the device only and are never sent to our servers.
Your sign-in token is held in the phone’s hardware-backed secure storage and is excluded from device backups.
Why we process it
- To provide the service you asked for — analysing a photo, drawing a trend, calculating a walk plan, reminding you about a vaccination. This is performance of our contract with you.
- To keep your records across devices and after a reinstall, which is the core promise of a lifelong health log.
- To enforce free and paid plan limits, and to bill subscriptions.
- To show ads to users on the free plan. This happens only with your consent, and only where consent is required; Pro subscribers are shown no ads at all.
- To keep the service secure and to debug failures.
Who else receives your data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers below, each of which is limited to the purpose listed. Several of them are outside your country, so your data may be transferred internationally.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — receives the photo you submit for analysis together with a short, anonymised summary of the pet’s recent records (dates, stool consistency, colour). It does not receive your name, email, or location. Anthropic processes it to return the analysis and does not use it to train models.
- Google — Sign-In (authentication), Maps (drawing the walk map), and AdMob together with Google’s consent tool (ads for free users, including your advertising ID and ad interactions).
- Open-Meteo — receives approximate coordinates to return weather and air-quality data for the walk plan.
- Neon — hosts the database in which your records are stored.
- Vercel — hosts the API that the app talks to.
Location
Location is used for two things: recording a walk route, and fetching local weather and air quality for the walk plan. The app asks for permission before any of these, and you can refuse or revoke it in your phone’s settings — the rest of the app keeps working, only these features stop.
A precise route is recorded only while a walk is actually running. The app does not track your location in the background at other times.
Advertising
Users on the free plan may be shown ads supplied by Google AdMob. Where the law requires consent — the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and certain US states — the app shows Google’s consent form before requesting any ad, and it requests none if you decline. You can reopen those choices at any time from the app’s privacy options.
Subscribing to Furmly Pro removes ads entirely.
How long we keep it
Your records are kept for as long as your account exists, because the app’s purpose is a health history that stays useful over your pet’s lifetime.
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your pets, records, photos, and schedules. Deletion cascades in the database, so this is not a soft-delete: the rows are removed.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop a particular use of it, and you can withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to info@expathub-all.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you think we have handled your data wrongly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
Furmly is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in the phone’s secure hardware storage rather than ordinary app storage, and are not included in device backups.
No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Health disclaimer
Furmly’s analysis is informational and is not a veterinary diagnosis. It does not replace examination by a qualified veterinarian. If you suspect your animal is unwell, see a vet.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
